The Pakistani state-owned defence contractor and military organisation known as The Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works Limited (KS&EW) is situated in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan, at the West Wharf. The only and oldest shipyard in Pakistan, The KSEW Ltd., specialises in general heavy engineering, ship repair, and shipbuilding.
For the Pakistani Navy, it has produced a large number of submarines, landing craft, naval vessels, tugboats, and cargo ships. In addition, it constructs and fixes items for numerous clients in the Pakistani private sector, including the Port Qasim Authority, Karachi Port Trust, and Pakistan National Shipping Company. The Government of Pakistan, which is administratively in charge of the Ministry of Defence, owns all of the company’s shares.
